Ms. Laura-Lou Moreau

Ms. Moreau works on PEJ’s investigations and strategic litigation in East Africa and Europe. She is a French lawyer with legal expertise in international law, especially human rights law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law. Since 2013, Ms. Moreau has defended fair trial rights in both domestic and international jurisdictions. After graduating from Rotterdam University, Ms. Moreau first started working for defense teams at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Ms. Moreau has also worked as a Legal Consultant in a defense team for two years at the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in Cambodia. Additionally, during her professional training, Ms. Moreau worked with a French criminal lawyer in representing an accused in an universal jurisdiction case before the Paris Court of Appeals.
