Ms. Sopheakmonica (Monica) Sok

Ms. Sok consults with PEJ on its investigative work in East Africa and Southeast Asia. She is a Cambodian legal professional specializing in human rights law, and she has almost ten years of experience in this area. In her current practice, she focuses on international criminal law, fair trial rights, child protection, and anti-human trafficking. Ms. Sok has also worked as a Case Manager on a defence team at the Khmer Rouge tribunal. She previously served as a paralegal at Child Protection Unit, working for child protection and monitoring cases in court proceedings. She graduated from the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh and received her LL.B in 2011 and LL.M in 2015. She also holds a Business Administration Degree from Pannasastra University of Cambodia in 2013.
