Mr. Silverlid consults PEJ on projects in East Africa and Southeast Asia. He is a Swedish legal professional specialized in international law, including human rights law, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law. After graduating from UCLA School of Law, Mr. Silverlid worked for the United Nations Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, focusing on areas such as counter-terrorism and accountability. Having previously practiced refugee law, he has investigated cases of persecution and interviewed both victims and alleged perpetrators of human rights abuses. Additionally, Mr. Silverlid began his legal career working for the Principal Legal Advisor on International Law at Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
